Lap 20 - Boris Said currently in 5th has a tire going down.
Lap 21 - Jerry Nadeau spun in the hair pin turn (11) and kept going.
Lap 22 - Jeff Burton has alot of smoke coming from the 99 car (16th
position) He pits. Not sure what it was ... still smoking when he exited
the pit.
Lap 23 - Jimmy Spencer got into Stacy Compton, Compton spun and is
smoking. (he is in Lake Speed's Last car ... Jerry Nadeau qual'ed 3rd in
this same car last year for Melling Racing....memories WOW)
Lap 26 - Boris Said wrecked and went right into the garage ... Broke
control arm.
Lap 27 - Brett Bodine Spins and keeps going
Lap 30 - Michael Waltrip and Jerry Nadeau wrecked and kept going.
Lap 30 - Kenny Wallace and Steve Park made green flag pits
Lap 30 - Mark Martin is pitting, he was in 3rd, he has a miss,
Lap 31 - Elliott Sadler was tagged by Kenny Irwin and missed turn 1 and
came in through the drag strip.

The jack man on R Gordons team tripped and almost fell.
Lap 43 - Jimmy Spencer comes in and also gets repair on his left front.
Then comes out and has contact with Nadeau
Lap 43 - Dale Earnhardt Jr is pitting also has left front damage.
Lap 44 - Jeff Gordon takes the lead as Scott Pruett pits.
Lap 50 - Robert Pressley and Brian Simo spin.
Lap 54 - Mike Skinner spins.
Lap 57 - Steve Park lost his power steering. He is the last car on the
lead lap in 27th position.
Lap 58 - Dale Earnhardt Jr. Spins.
CAUTION
#3 Lap
#58 Brain Simo, in the #90 car, broke his drive train and was stalled
on the track.
- Terry Labonte got his lap back, there are now 28 cars on the lead lap
- Scott Pruett did not pit, he restarts as the leader.
- Jerry Nadeau had to pit several times due to damage to the fill hose on
the gas can.
- Rusty Wallace had a problem with the lug nuts on the left front.
- Boris Said took over for Robert Pressley.
- Tony Stewart's team is looking for a relieve driver, Tony is sick
(overheating)
- Scott Pruett has a possible cracked head.

- Tony Stewart is Trying to hang in, but John Andretti is standing by to
take over for Tony.
he radioed in and said to his Crew "You never gave up on me, I am not
giving up on you"
Lap 66 - Scott Pruett gets into the current leader Tony Stewart, Stewart
spins as he was attempting to take the lead
Lap 66 - Scott Pruett spins after hitting the brakes hard and Jeff Gordon
tapped him and losses the lead.

#4 Lap
#70 Scott Pruett had a tire go down and hit the tire barrier, the
grass under the car caught fire. He hit hard, moved a concrete barrier
also....this will be a longer caution than normal.
- Jeff Burtons now back on the lead lap.
- John Andretti is taking Tony Stewart's place in the 20 car. The car
stalled leaving the pit.
- Bobby Hamilton took fuel only.
- Kenny Wallace, Mike Skinner and Ward Burton did not pit.

told he MIGHT Not make it on gas.

Wally Dallenbach posted a run of 96.754 miles an hour in a Ford Saturday for the
fastest speed of second-round qualifying for today's Save Mart/Kragen 350 NASCAR
Winston Cup race at Sears Point Raceway. Dallenbach, the final qualifier of the
day, just nipped Mike Bliss' run of 97.687 to nail down the 26th starting spot.
Michael Waltrip was next at 97.606, followed by seven-time Winston Cup champion
Dale Earnhardt at 97.334, good for 29th in the line-up.
