Morgan of Race Views ..... he has taken this to a public level and I feel the
need to say my side ..... this it it.....

flooded with SPAM and at least 3 to 5 posts a day from her "newsletter"mostly
ads and chairity garb. You slam people who hawk little metal cars and the like
well sue is a pro and was a thorn in my side for 3 weeks untill inotified her
ISP to stop the mail.I tried to unsubscribe but to no avail. Mike ,are you
sure about endorsing this person? I reccomend all stay clear of thislist, site

What is SPAM (junk email) you ask? It is
unsolicited, usually commercial, E-mail sent to a large number of addresses. CAUCE
explains it like this: Junk e-mail is "postage due" marketing; it's
like a telemarketer calling you collect. The economics of junk e-mail
encourages massive abuse and because junk e-mailers can get into the business
very cheaply, the volume of junk e-mail is increasing every day.
SPAM is not advertisers within an elected newsletter.
I called my ISP Immediately to see if a complaint was lodged (I Never received
an email to this effect) My ISP told me in the 5 years I have been with
them NEVER has a complaint been made. I am in good standing with them (I
knew that). So the above email is a lie.
For a very brief Time I had subscribers sign up at (if they wanted to) at a
new list, which was an OPT IN service. IF YOU opted in they COULD sell your
address. But they could not sell the address without my knowledge and they
NEVER did because I pulled out of this list very soon after starting with
them. If you feel they did sell your address PLEASE bring it to my
attention you can ALWAYS email me .... semh@earthlink.net
, because I have signed contracts and have an attorney that has guided me with
them, and UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES Could they sell any addresses they collected
in the short time I was with them. I received some 700 emails Saturday (I have
have many more waiting to be read) when all of this was made public and NOT
ONE Person has gotten spammed from being on any of my lists. Most all stated
that. I also have ALWAYS had a private list if subscribers are more
comfortable giving their address that way rather than on a list (IE: ListBot,
Egroups, Topica (which Mike currently uses).
Any whooooo .... Yesterday Mr. Mike Morgan of Race Views felt the need to make
this post to his subscribers ......

Hello, race fans - hope you are well.
During the 4 years Race Views has been online we have witnessed quite a lot of
spectacles. We don't like spectacles.
We recently received a note after we endorsed "Sue's New-n-Views."
Seems when you subscribe to this page you will be inundated with SPAM. We
found this to be true so we are withdrawing our endorsement. Race Views
apologizes for this incorrect information.
We suspect Sue suffers from the same life-threatening illness which enabled
Rick Hendrick to avoid jail-time. It was bullshit then and it's bullshit
now.
We think there is absolutely no need for someone to read the internet for us.
Not to mention the audacity of selling toy cars. No one needs that
worthless crap.
We rarely speak out of character, but we will this one time. Sue should be
embarrassed. Her page does nothing but whore toy cars and other worthless
shit. We are embarrassed for her.

If you read it somewhere else,
it was probably wrong.
First thing I want to clear up is, I do NOT have the same illness as Rick
Hendrick, Rick has the benefit of remission, I, however, do not. I have
a malignant (MPD) blood disease (there are numerous forms of this) that has recently
been taking it's toll on me. Due to the recent strokes my Dr's have
stopped treatment and increased the oral chemo, so to say I have not been
feeling all to well is an understatement. I have no problem talking about my
illness, I do however, have a problem with Mike degrading me or it. It is NOT
B***S*** to me or my loved ones that watch the suffering.
As for Mike feeling he needs to bring my illness into this only proofs how low
he is. My illness has NOTHING to do with the newsletters, racing anything or
anyone else. It is my illness and I will speak about it when I want to.
I do not bring it up in the newsletters because I do not want to depress
or put a burden on my readers. You know nothing about me Mike Morgan, all you know is I would ALWAYS
"Plug" your site whenever you would ask me. I have stood up
for you on many occasion and how many of my web pages have you used over the
years? I felt I was helping you as a friend, if this is how you repay a
friend, please leave me out of your loop, little as that in, leave me out of
it.
I have been doing my newsletter for 5 years and NEVER Has Spam resulted from
it. EVER. I have asked Mike for proof that there was Spam from me and he
Never replied to that question.
The only 3-5 (or 6 - 8, as you state here) emails any one of my subscribers
get from me (directly or indirectly) are Newsletters that THEY requested.
Yes, sometimes the news or race day events warrant 3 newsletters, That
is explained before you sign up, BUT NEVER has there been Spam.
Again I ask you Mike and also YOU Chris Fry (RacerX), show me proof that Any
ISP has been contacted and PLEASE Show me proof SPAM generated from me. Because
people that know me know full and well I would (if this ever happened) put a
stop to it real fast. All I care to do in my short life is help others,
please do not take that away from me.
If ANY subscriber feels they have been getting SPAM generated from me PLEASE
let me know and also Please send me the subject line of the newsletter you
receive from me and I will remove you from the list. EVER Single edition of
the newsletter (with the exception of those on the private lists) has very
simple directions on how to unsubscribe. YOU do it the same way YOU got on the
list. If you email me to be removed I will do so when time allows,
unless you on one of the private lists, I do that Immediately upon receipt of
an unsubscribe email. I do not HAVE to remove you from a list since the
directions are on your newsletter but I do it as a courtesy, as do change of
addresses, that also should be done buy unsubscribe and resubscribing with
your new email address. But if you email me and say something like
"Get me off your list Bi*ch, I will not do it. I get that type of
email often and I will not be spoken to that way, I do not deserve it and will
NOT take it.
As for having advertisers in the newsletter, that is my choice and it
is your choice to receive the newsletter. No one is forcing anyone to
subscribe. I spend countless hours daily on this newsletter and
while it is a very big part of my life, and rewarded me in ways I can only
Thank God for, I see nothing wrong with getting advertisers to pay me for some
of my time and the use of my systems to get the news and web sites done.
I feel I provide a quality product for free to the fans. I work very
hard on it and take pride it what this newsletter has become. When I am
to sick to work outside of the home this newsletter is ALL I have. The
only form of income I bring in. It gives me some feeling of self worth. And
the income I make from it wouldn't buy groceries for 2 in any given month.
I am one of the cheapest forms of advertising on the web that I know of.
To condemn me for that is ridiculous. If you do not like the
newsletter because of the advertisements PLEASE Unsubscribe, that doesn't hurt
me or the advertisers one bit.
Mike Morgan, I never asked you to endorse me or My newsletter, I do not need
Your endorsement, 90% of your Readers came from my endorsements of Race Views
and you, Mike Morgan, Know that. Please DO not even speak of me. And
stop emailing me to plug your site. You can be embarrassed for me all you want
but keep it to yourself.
And to my over 15,000 subscribers I am sorry for this But I feel I deserve the
right to show my side. I love stock car racing and I love the people I
have meet via this newsletter. Mike Morgan or no other person will take that
away from me.
After
the above was made public Mr. Mike Morgan posted this on his site:
Race Views Apologizes
A couple days ago I forwarded an e-mail to Sue Scott which
I had received from a Race Views reader. Our reader was unhappy about the
deluge of SPAM he received after subscribing to a particular newsletter.
I forwarded it to Sue as a courtesy. She initially denied
any knowledge of the SPAM but eventually accepted responsiblity for the
SPAM, which was apparently distributed by the outfit which sent out their
newsletters.
I am guilty as charged for saying some very ugly things. I
was wrong. I apologize to Sue and I apologize to all of you.
That
is NOT an apology, not to me anyway. I
want to make it VERY, VERY clear I NEVER accepted responsibility for any
of this. My address's have NEVER been sold. I simply explained to Mr.
Morgan that I did, very briefly, Have my list at a site that had an "OPT
IN" option, if subscribers wanted emails that pertained to their
interests. That list did not last long at all and NEVER Was an address
sold for any purpose. And there never will be. And contrary to
what Mr. Morgan states in the above text, NO One but myself sends out my
newsletters, except for the very occasional times that Rob or Dave send them
in my absence. NO Outfit does the news for me I DO IT Plan and simple, with
Barbs help in collecting links occasionally.
