--  DR. Michael Conley was the Grand Marshall and SAID .... LADY and Gentlemen Start your engines!!!!
--  55 degrees, colder with the wind!  It feels like 45 degrees. Clear, blue skies
--  Matt Kenseth had to replace his engine and had to start 42nd.

takes the lead.  
-- Lap 38 - Tony Stewart
is now the leader

Brett Bodine, Rick Mast, Shawna Robinson and Dick Trickle take unscheduled pit.
-- Lap 56 - Tony Stewart gives
up the lead to pit, he was getting loose, Jerry Nadeau came in next to begin
Green flag pit.
-- Lap 58 - Dale Earnhardt, Jr.
takes the lead, Then Dave Blaney  -- Dale Earnhardt, Jr. had to hit his brakes hard to avoid hitting Kevin Harvick, as Harvick was exiting his pit. Bobby Labonte had a 19.1 pit when the jack man dropped the jack before the tire wad off.

CAUTION 1  Lap #77 - Garbage bag on the track.

RESTART Lap #81  (after 4 caution laps) Tony Stewart, Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Kurt Busch, Ricky Craven and Jerry Nadeau! Are the top 5 leaders.

reports having something in his eye.  
-- Lap 107 - Jerry Nadeau
is reporting he is very loose ... Sigh
-- Lap 162 - Tony Stewart gives
up the lead to pit, Matt Kenseth leads.

Bobby Labonte's car was hit and spun by Jimmy Spencer, the crew members had to jump back over the wall, a NASCAR Official and Derick Jennings, Labonte's rear tire changer, fell, all are okay.  Labonte did a great job of turning the car around and getting into his stall.  Jimmy Spencer had to re-pit due to damage, Jimmy Spencer, The 41 team crew chief Doug Randolph and team owner Chip Ganassi must to go the NASCAR Trailer after the race.

is in the garage, lost a cylinder.  Bobby Hamilton makes contact with the wall ....

CAUTION 2  Lap #186 - Dick Trickle hit hard in turn 2. He is okay!

Kevin Harvick
had to re-pit due to a loose lug nut.  KYLE PETTY LEADS!

Mike Skinner was held for speeding down pit road.  Kenny Wallace was penalized for driving off dragging the catch can.

Hut Strickland
and Jeff Green, with a broken valve spring, and are in the garage.  

RESTART Lap #192  (after 6 caution laps) Tony Stewart, Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Kurt Busch, Matt Kenseth and Jerry Nadeau! Lead on the 2nd restart.

-- Lap 202 - Kurt Busch
re-takes the lead.  And Jeff Green came back out, but was penalized for speeding down pit road and went back in.

CAUTION 3  Lap #209 - Jeff Green lost his engine. Oil on the track.

Michael Waltrip
went into the garage...  Hood up :(

RESTART Lap #214  (after 5 caution laps) Matt Kenseth got out of the pits first ... followed by Ricky Craven, Tony Stewart, Kurt Busch and Jimmie Johnson. (wow what a line up!)

CAUTION 4  Lap #215 - Debris on the track .... Brett Bodine's Side window came out.

RESTART Lap #220  (after 5 caution laps) Matt Kenseth, Tony Stewart,  Ricky Craven, Kurt Busch and Jimmie Johnson are the top 5.

-- Lap 239 - Kurt Busch
Regains the lead.
-- Lap 256 - Kevin Harvick
goes Right into the garage after letting off a lot of smoke in turn 4, lost the motor.  John Andretti made contact with Ward Burton and the wall in turn 4.

CAUTION 5  Lap #258 - Oil on the track (a real test for the One engine rule)

Many came in for a "splash and go" hoping to make it to the end if there is no cautions.  Some will JUST BARELY make it to the final lap some are approximately 4 laps shy.

Kenny Schrader pit outside his box and was held 15 seconds.

RESTART Lap #266  (after 8 caution laps)  Matt Kenneth, Tony Stewart, Jimmie Johnson, Kurt Busch, Dale Jarrett, Ricky Craven, Ward Burton,  Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Ryan Newman and Jeff Gordon are the top 10 leaders with 60 laps to go.

CAUTION 6  Lap #282 - Brett Bodine goes up in smoke ....

Matt Kennseth's team had problems with the left front tire ...

RESTART Lap #286  (after 4 caution laps) Ward Burton, Tony Stewart, Terry Labonte!, Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and Jimmie Johnson, Ricky Craven, Ryan Newman, Sterling Marlin, Rusty Wallace and Dale Jarrett lead ...  With 40 laps to go!

CAUTION 7  Lap #291 - Ohhhh Noooo, Johnny Benson, Jerry Nadeau (Nasty words and major tears here) Bill Elliott (What a shame) and John Andretti all wreck.

RESTART Lap #295  (after 5 caution laps) 16 cars on the lead lap Ward Burton, Tony Stewart, Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Jimmie Johnson and Ryan Newman lead with 31 laps to go.

also goes up in smoke.  Kurt Busch skims the wall

retakes the lead
-- Lap 320 - Jeff Gordon
slowed way off the pace ... motor going bad.
-- Lap 320 - Jerry Nadeau
spins, but keeps going.
