Recap of The Harrah's 500, Texas (Unofficial) This was VERY difficult to do as I could only stay logged for a few minutes at a time, our phone lines are messed up due to severe thunderstorms, wind and A LOT of rain. (I demand my DSL Darn it!) If I missed stuff I apologize.

GREEN, GREEN, GREEN, GO, GO, GO!!!!

-- Lap 3- Silence ~~ in memory of Dale Earnhardt, as Jr. leads by 4 car lengths, at the track he got his first Cup win at a year ago, and also his first BGN win.

CAUTION 1 Lap #6 Bill Elliott got into Michael Waltrip, Waltrip is in the Wall as Kurt Busch goes infield then into the pits, Ron Hornaday, Jimmy Spencer and Buckshot Jones got caught up in all of this.
-- A very disappointed Michael Waltrip said "I just messed up"
-- Tony Stewart pit.

RESTART Lap #10 (after 4 caution laps) Single File restart, everyone on lead lap.

-- Lap 23 - Bobby Hamilton has a tire go down.
-- Lap 29 - Dale Jarrett takes the lead.

CAUTION 2 Lap #36 Robert Pressley got into Jerry Nadeau (ARGH) ,,, as Pressley was out of control Tony Stewart got into him.

RESTART Lap #40 (after 4 caution laps) Johnny Benson leads!

-- Lap 41 - Brett Bodine is WAY off the pace... and then pits.
-- Lap 42 - Jr. Retakes the lead.
-- Lap 53 - Smoke inside Jeff Gordon's car. Jeff reports it smells like burning rubber.
-- Lap 64 - Dale Jarrett is in the lead again.
-- Lap 93 - Casey Atwood, Andy Houston, Jeff Gordon and others come in to begin early Green flag pits
-- Lap 103 - Michael Waltrip is back out and Dale Jarrett continues to lead with Steve Park in 2nd, after Green flag pits for the entire field.
-- Lap 124 - Mike Skinner is in for an unscheduled pit, he scraped the wall and knocked the tow out - out.
-- Lap 125 - Andy Houston is in for an unscheduled pit. A big chunk out the right front tire.
-- Lap 132 - Bobby Labonte goes into the garage.

CAUTION 3 Lap #136 Debris (Pierre Debris as DW would say!)

-- Lap 153 - Bobby Labonte, defending champion, breaks something in the bottom end of the motor, this is their 3rd DNF this season

CAUTION 4 Lap # 188 Debris - A catch can from Bill Elliott's car
-- Elliott had to come in for a penalty.

CAUTION 5 Lap #207 Casey Atwood got loose and got into Joe Nemechek and then Jeremy Mayfield got into Ward Burton, Burton was checking up due to the incident in front of him.
