Nemechek, LaJoie Earn Front Row Honors for Subway 300 at Talladega


Joe Nemechek delivered some more restrictor-plate magic on Thursday capturing the Bud Pole for Saturday’s Subway 300 NASCAR Busch Series race at Talladega Superspeedway on John Deere Qualifying Day.  Nemechek, a native of Lakeland, Fla., turned a fast lap of 189.729 mph in his No. 87 Cellular One Pontiac to earn his fourth Subway 300 pole. Randy LaJoie, driver of the No. 7 Kleenex Pontiac, a car that Nemechek co-owns with Ed Evans, took the outside pole with a speed of 188.123.
