Mark Martin Wins the Bud Pole for the Food City 500
Mark Martin will start Sunday's Food City 500 from the inside pole position.  He clocked the fastest time in qualifying at 15.192 seconds, 126.303 mph.  Sterling Marlin will start 2nd, with Kevin Harvick 3rd, Rusty Wallace 4th and Todd Bodine 5th. Buckshot Jones will get the 21st and last front stretch pit stall.  There were three drivers that did not qualify for the race.  They are Jason Leffler #01, Hut Stricklin #90, and Carl Long #85.  Provisional starts go to Tony Stewart #20, Elliott Sadler #21, Kurt Busch #97, Ron Hornaday #14, Stacy Compton #92, Kevin Lepage #4, and Mike Wallace #7.
